Huawei Won’t Release Nova 4 In PH

It’s a China exclusive device

Excited for Huawei’s first hole-punch display smartphone, the Nova 4? Sorry to burst your bubble, but we’ve heard from a reliable source within Huawei Philippines themselves that the company’s next iteration of their Nova smartphone won’t be made available to the Philippines as it’s slated to be a China-only smartphone, for now.

It makes sense, as the Nova 4’s release is a bit too early to match Huawei’s local efforts. Huawei Philippines has pretty much stuck to a 6 month release cycle for their Nova series of devices, and the Nova 4 puts a wrench in all of that even though it’s technically within the 6-month time frame. The phone is slated to launch on the 17th of this month in Huawei’s home country of China, and sports the company’s first punch hole display, along with a triple camera setup and their flagship Kirin 980 processor.

Of course things may change in the future depending on what the folks in Huawei’s HQ decide, but right now the semi-official word is no local release for this particular phone. Too bad, as it looks to be yet another exciting device that’s slated to shake up the mid-range smartphone scene.
