Selling Better than Expected Despite Prices

We have several sources confirming that the highly anticipated iPhone X is living up to the hype because it’s delivering incredible sales despite the absurd prices right now in the Philippines. As of yesterday the lowest prices for the iPhone X was pegged at Php70,000 for the 64GB model while the higher end 256GB variant was going for Php80,000. At it’s peak it went as high as Php105,000.

Will these prices go down? If we will take a look at the previous gray market pricing of the iPhone, you can expect drops almost weekly. We wouldn’t be surprised to see this bottoming out at the Php60,000-Php65,000 price range for the 64GB variant in a few weeks time.

Filipinos will have to wait for the official launch locally as telcos are just about to release and market the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus. You can expect to see the iPhone X sometime in December of maybe even as far as January or February. This means that if you want to get one you will have to get it at a premium or you will need to pick one up when you fly out to Singapore, Hong Kong, or the US.
