MWC 2018: Sony Launches Xperia Ear Duo Wireless Headphones

A new approach to headphones

Aside from launching the new Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact, Sony has announced a new set of wireless earphones with the Xperia Ear Duo. Making them different to conventional wireless headphones is its Dual Listening technology, which lets users listen to music and to their surroundings at the same time. This is made possible with an in-house designed Spatial Acoustic Conductor, where the sound generated is delivered directly to the ear, and comes with a ring support for seamless blending of the sound coming from the drivers with the environment.

In addition, the Xperia Ear Duo has a Daily Assist feature which informs users relevant information based on time, location, and activities. Other Assist features include head gestures, where the Xperia Ear duo responds to certain head movements.

The Xperia Ear Duo has an IPX2 rating, and lasts for up to four hours on a single charge, with its case doubling as a charger.

The Xperia Ear Duo will be available in March 2018 in black and gold.
