What’s Different with the Reno5 Pro+

Right before Christmas, OPPO unveiled a third variant under the Reno5 series with the Reno5 Pro+. While it looks similar to the Reno5 Pro, the Pro+ packs more powerful hardware. These include:

  • An extra bright 6.55-inch Full HD+ 90hz AMOLED display that can go up to 1100nits of brightness (the Reno5 Pro goes up to 500nits) and has a 180hz touch sampling rate;
  • A more powerful Snapdragon 865 processor with the same RAM and storage configurations (that’s 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB);
  • A solid quad-rear camera setup that comprises of an industry-first 50-megapixel IMX766 main camera (that has a 1/1.56” sensor size) with OIS, 16-megapixel f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, a 13-megapixel f/2.4 telephoto camera with 3x zoom, and a 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera; and
  • Other notable features like a premium glass-and-aluminum-build, stereo speakers, and a bigger 4500mAh battery.

The Reno5 Pro+ will be available only in China, with pre-orders starting on January 18. The 8GB/128GB model will sell for CNY 3,999(~Php 29.5k) while the 12GB/256GB version will go for CNY 4,499(~Php 33.2k).
