PayMaya QR Tech Might Have Us Going Cashless Sooner than You Think

An Easy and Quicker Way to Pay

Last month, John was able to experience the extremely fast and convenient way to pay for stuff in Schenzen, China via WeChat’s WePay system saying that it should be something we should be adopting ino our country. PayMaya has already begun the task of helping us go cashless a little easier and it looks like their rolling out payments via QR codes to more area in the Philippines.

The scan-to-pay system is now available at Smart stores, so subscribers can have an easier time with transactions and won’t have to deal with long queues of they’re in a rush. PayMaya has also tapped several merchants and partners, like the canteens at STI plus several locales that have already adopted cashless systems in Muntinlupa and Malabon. Of course, popular merchants in WiFi enabled SmartSpots in Cebu, Davao, and Baguio will also be getting PayMaya’s QR tech so people in these places have a little added convenience when hanging with their buds.

You can also expect to make payments via QR codes in McDonald’s, Dominos Pizza, Army Navy, and Gaisano Supermarkets soon.

PayMaya is definitely paving the way for us to go cashless and we’re definitely hoping to see more retailers and merchants adopt this technology. Who knows maybe you’ll be buying something at your neighborhood sari-sari store soon?
