After a teaser posted by Toyota Motors Philippines made rounds online, the time is finally here. Today, the Japanese automobile company officially launches the 2022 Toyota Veloz in the Philippines, complete with its price. Read on to know more about this new model. 

The subcompact SUV is considered the top-of-the-line Toyota Avanza in other Asian countries; however, we beg to differ as we think that this is totally a class above the Avanza. Starting with the exterior, the Veloz comes with a larger 17-inch set of sporty alloy wheels. The overall look of the front screams premium and sophisticated, thanks to the smaller but well-designed front grille.

As for the interior, the car has what you could want in this modern-day and age, such as a wireless phone charger, nine-inch infotainment compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (eight inches on the lower model), a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, and even ambient lighting to set your driving mood, especially at night.  The interior comes in a classy two-tone black-and-white finish, while two-tone fabric and leather upholstery cover the seats of the Veloz. 

The Philippine-spec Veloz comes with a 2NR-VE engine that is also present in the top-spec Avanza. This 1.5-liter inline-four gasoline engine produces up to 105hp and 138Nm of torque. Transmission is a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Also setting it a class above the Avanza is its safety system. The Veloz comes with extra features such as a panoramic view monitor, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Don’t forget about the Toyota Safety Sense which provides a pre-collision system, lane-departure alert, and automatic high beam.

2022 Toyota Veloz Price Philippines

The Toyota Veloz can now be ordered from Toyota Motors Philippines and is available in two variants: the Toyota Veloz 1.5 V CVT (P1,225,000) and Toyota Veloz 1.5 G CVT (P1,185,000).

Both variants are available in Purplish Silver Mica Metallic, Black Metallic, Dark Red Mica Metallic, and premium White Pearl with an additional charge of Php 15,000.
