As confirmed by Toyota Motor Philippines through a teaser, it is just a matter of time before the 2022 Toyota Veloz arrives in the Philippines. Here are the details we know so far.
As mentioned in our previous article, the Toyota Veloz is the top-of-line version of the Toyota Avanza. In short, it is a souped-up model that’s certainly a lot flashier and more expensive. It has exterior and interior bits that are not present in the Toyota Avanza.
Setting it further apart are extra features such as a panoramic view monitor, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert, in addition to Toyota Safety Sense which provides a pre-collision system, lane-departure alert, and automatic high beam.
However, according to a report, the Philippine-spec Veloz comes with a 2NR-VE engine which is also present in the top-spec Avanza. This 1.5-liter inline-four gasoline engine produces 105hp and 138Nm of torque. Transmission is likewise the same, a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Moreover, according to the same report, the Veloz will be available for purchase as early as April 29, 2022. There will be two variants: Toyota Veloz 1.5 V CVT priced at P1,225,000 and Toyota Veloz 1.5 G CVT priced at P1,185,000.
Both variants are available in Purplish Silver Mica Metallic, Black Metallic, Dark Red Mica Metallic, and White Pearl with an additional Php 15,000.
