Alleged Oppo Reno8 Render Reveals Familiar Design

A few months after the release of the Oppo Reno7, leaks of its successor are already out. Among others, the Oppo Reno8 features a more modern design that kind of looks similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro

According to Digital Chat Station—a reliable source for this kind of stuff, the Oppo Reno8 is just a watered-down version of the OnePlus 10 Pro. The phone appears to have a similar rear camera design element with similar button layouts and overall aesthetics. The only difference is that the display on the front is flat instead of curved.

The said source also revealed some of the specs. In fact, there will be an upgrade on the screen. The tip says that Oppo is likely to use a new 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Previous generations of the Reno series devices have stuck to a 90Hz panel for years now. Meanwhile, the triple rear camera will feature a 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensor, which is already used on the Reno7 Pro and several other Oppo devices.

Sadly, there is no information on what sort of chipset will power the Reno8. Of course, we can expect something better than the Dimensity 1200-Max chipset found in the Reno7.
