The Asus ZenBook Pro 16X OLED is the Most Powerful in the Lineup

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023 has seen some bangers so far, and ASUS isn’t just about to be outdone. They’ve unveiled the Zenbook Pro 16X OLED alongside a prime selection of laptops. This beast of a laptop is quite overpowered and has some unique features to boot – here’s why we say so.

Power Overwhelming

ASUS isn’t hiding the fact that the Zenbook Pro 16X OLED is the most powerful Zenbook they’ve created so far. Sure, the line is known more for productivity rather than gaming (hand tha award to the Republic of Gamers), but we’re sure that this laptop could match up to the best of the best in that department. Without telling everyone else: “Hey! I’m a gaming laptop!” It still manages to be understated, which is why you might be a bit surprised when you see what it’s hiding underneath.

Those Base Specs Tho

The Zenbook Pro 16X OLED is configurable, but base specs will already give you the latest 13th-generation Intel Core processors. These are renowned for being not only more powerful than before but also better on battery. It’s a nice tradeoff for the path towards efficiency. It also isn’t satisfied with integrated graphics solutions, no no. It’s rocking a RTX 40-series GPU depending on how demanding your tasks will be. With ray tracing capabilities and that much power in your hands, nothing will be a problem. 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM can also be available.

With that much brute strength, not only can you slide through day-to-day activities without a hitch, but even playing triple-A titles and doing some heavy editing/rendering work should be a breeze. This thing will process difficult tasks for breakfast and still have a multitude of power left over for everything else.

Tiny MoBo, Better Thermals?

At this point, you may be asking: “how long can it sustain peak performance though?” You’d be glad to know that ASUS claims the chassis of the 16X isn’t packed to the brim with components, despite the meaty specs included. This is because the team has managed to make the motherboard core 38% smaller. With enough breathing room for the CPU and GPU to get some air, thermal throttling should be minimized especially relative to other powerful laptops out there.

All that processing will show on a 16-inch 3.2K HDR touchscreen OLED panel. That ensures amazing colors that bring your content to life, apt for creatives in the field. The aspect ratio is 16:10 with a 120Hz refresh rate. All these should add up to a buttery-smooth experience since the internals are by far overqualified for whatever you need them to do.

Another interesting feature is the tilting keyboard, which we’ve also seen before on other ASUS models like the ROG Zephyrus S17. Albeit it’s not mechanical, it’s also placed there to make typing much easier at an angle for long periods of time. Typing on this should feel like you’re right at your home office. In addition to that, the ASUS Dial and NumberPad technology work hand-in-hand to make the most of the laptop’s expansive real estate, effectively maximizing efficiency in the process.
