Smartphones are something many people cannot live without. They play an important role in our lives. As such, people are getting them from what they think is the best brand out there in the market. To help us find out what brand they think is, Campaign Asia has conducted a study to identify the top 10 smartphone brands in Asia-Pacific.
According to the 2021 edition of Campaign Asia-Pacific’s exclusive Asia’s Top 1000 Brands research, which was done in partnership with Nielsen IQ, the top 10 smartphone brands are as follows:

2. Samsung

Although Apple is the top choice in only three markets: Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan, it is the second-best choice in many other countries such as Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, New Zealand. This makes Apple the top smartphone brand in Asia-Pacific.
Samsung is the top choice in 10 countries: Australia, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam. However, they landed low in other countries, giving the win to Apple still. They are no. 2 in Hong Kong and Taiwan; no. 4 in China; and no. 6 in Japan.
Despite facing many issues for the past few years, Huawei is still the top brand in China; while it’s no. 7 in Malaysia and Singapore; no. 8 in Hong Kong, New Zealand, and the Philippines.
Although not as popular as the other brands, Google Pixel phones are still a strong contender when people are asked what they believe is the best brand out there. In fact, Google is no. 3 in Australia; no. 4 in India, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Vietnam; no. 5 in Indonesia, New Zealand, Taiwan, and Thailand.
Taking 5th place is OPPO. It is no. 3 in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam; no. 4 in Singapore; and no. 5 in China and India. Rounding up the top 10 smartphone brands in Asia-Pacific are Sony, Xiaomi, vivo, OnePlus, and Nokia.
