Following a global announcement last September, Canon Philippines announced the official price of the EOS R3, along with its pre-order promo.
To recap, the EOS R3 is the new flagship camera under Canon’s full-frame mirrorless camera line. The EOS R3 uses an all-new 24.1-megapixel BSI Stacked CMOS sensor that is combined with a DIGIC X Processor. With this setup, the EOS R3 is capable of a continuous, blackout-free shooting of up to 30FPS in electronic shutter mode with minimum rolling electronic shutter distortion and up to 12FPS in mechanical shutter mode.
The new sensor has a native ISO range of 100-102400 that can be expanded up to ISO 204800 for images. It also comes with a Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system with 1053 AF points and improved focus tracking to as low as EV -7.5 for tracking eyes, face, head, animals, cars, and motorcycles and a 5-axis IBIS that Canon claims up to 8 stops of stabilization with supported lenses.
As Canon’s current full-frame mirrorless flagship, the EOS R3 brings back Eye Control Autofocus, which lets you select focus by simply looking at the subject through the EOS R3’s EVF. The EVF boasts 5.76 million dots and 120fps blackout-free frame rate.
Other features include a Multi-Function Shoe, a one-piece magnesium alloy body with integrated vertical grip and weather resistance that is on par with EOS-1D models, dual card slots (one UHS-II SD card and one CFExpress), and a broad set of connectivity options: wired LAN, WiFi, USB 3.0 and Bluetooth connectivity.
