A Peek at the LG Innofest 2017

Last March 6, 2017, I found myself on a plane to Jeju Island, South Korea for the LG Innofest. It was quite an experience! We toured the beautiful island of Jeju, known for its majestic volcanic landscapes and beach resorts.

We saw the Daepo Jusangjeolli Cliff which is a natural monument because of its stone pillars piled up along the coast.

We visited the O’sulloc Tea Museum to learn about Korea’s traditional tea culture.

We dropped by their cute Teddy Bear Museum

and watched a SISTAR show …

However, the highlight of our trip was the LG Innofest that was held at Jeju Island’s International Convention Center. It is one thing to read about LG’s line of smart home appliances. It is another thing to experience them all together.

The LG 2017 OLED TV was downright jaw dropping with its OLED panel measuring just 2.57mm. It is so thin and light that it can be mounted on the wall using only magnetic brackets. The picture quality is impressive as it is equipped with Dolby Vision that delivers greater brightness, fuller contrasts and richer color.

The Smart Insta View Refrigerator allows you to see what’s inside by simply knocking on the screen. That way, you limit opening your ref door and wasting precious energy. Oh, and it also connects to your smartphone, allowing you to see the available food in the ref so you know exactly what you need when you go grocery shopping.

Who can resist the cuteness of the LG Hub Robot? They’re not just charming though. They’re very helpful too! Consider them as the real life Rosie, the robot maid from Jetsons. They turn on the air conditioner, operate the air purifier, set alarms, plays music and assists in controlling home appliances for your convenience.
