Brother Launches Printers Built for Productivity and Cost Efficiency

Earlier this week, Brother launched a series of A3 Inkjet printers – the HL-T4000DW and Multi-Function Centre, MFC-T4500DW. Both are designed for productivity, cost-efficiency and effortless user experience.

In this age wherein documents can be signed digitally and photos are simply shared on social media, what’s the relevance of having a printer? The truth is, it is still heavily used in businesses for plans, presentations and design materials such as blueprints. As awesome as it is to view these things from a screen, it is still easier to see the bigger picture when it is printed on actual paper.

On a personal note, I haven’t really printed photos in a while because I tend to just share them on Instagram and Facebook. During the event, however, Brother encouraged their guests to print a photo of their choice on an A3 photo paper. I chose a picture taken during the most special day of my life – my wedding day – and I must admit, seeing an actual print out made me cherish the day all the more. While it’s great that photosharing is so easy through social media, I realized that photo printing is still not a lost art after all.

In terms of productivity, both printers have speeds of up to 22/20 images per minute for mono and color; and fast mode speeds of up to 35/27 pages per minute. You can expect professional print quality with the resolution of 1,200 x 4,800 dpi. As mentioned earlier, it can print on a wide variety of paper types up to A3 size.

Cost is not a big deal for these new releases because of its refill tank system that enables you to print up 6,500 pages in black and 5,000 pages in color. You can even save on paper because of its automatic 2-sided printing feature. Its printhead with stainless steel lamination and piezoelectric ceramic technology makes the device sturdy so less frequent repairs and servicing are needed.

It doesn’t take a genius to use the HL-T4000DW and the MFC-T4500DW. To begin with, the front access tank makes it easy to refill the ink when needed and monitoring ink levels is also made simpler through the transparent tank cover. Its automatic document feeder makes it possible to copy, scan and fax multiple pages without having to insert them one by one. Navigation is incredibly user-friendly with its large 2.7″ LCD touchscreen and full-sized keypad.

The printers have extensive connectivity options. You can easily share the device among the entire office workgroup using the built-in wireless and network connectivity. You can also print directly from your USB and scan & print via wifi direct. I was personally able to print directly from my Android device through Brother’s iPrint & Scan app and found it very easy and hassle-free.

For offices that are looking into these 2 new devices, it is a plus that there is an option to restrict printer access and to integrate it into the company’s IT security infrastructure.

The HL-T4000DW and the MFC-T4500DW are both available in Authorized Retail Stores nationwide.
