Here’s How HP aims to Help Students for the Next Virtual School Year

It is another school year yet again, though things are different this time around. As part of the effects caused by the COVID-19 Pandemic, a big majority of students nationwide resort to studying and learning at home. Because of this, both parents and children face several challenges: How will they access their child’s learning materials? Do they have the right tools and resources? How will long-term remote learning affect privacy? What are the steps that parents, students, and teachers can take to build an online environment that feels like a safe space?

With remote learning most likely becoming the norm in the years to come, HP is making its best effort to equip parents, students, and teachers what they will need. As HP aims to improve remote learning to 100 million people by 2025, HP is doing these efforts to make things efficient, and here’s how they intend to do it:

Equipping computers with the necessary tools. Whether you want the flexibility of the Pavilion x360 for using it in various modes like laptop, tent, or tablet mode, or prefer a large, touchscreen experience with the 24-df0000d AIO Desktop, HP made sure that its computer has the right set of features to make the productivity of students as efficient as possible. Aside from the much-needed security and connectivity features, all HP computers are ready out of the box as they come pre-bundled with Microsoft Office Home & Student perpetual license and guaranteed after-sales support.

Making remote learning engaging too. While the new norm for learning involves online modules, there is still room for old-school, printed materials. This is still important even in this digital age as some teachers might have a learning curve adapting to this new practice. To make it easier for parents, students, and teachers, HP launched the HP Printables platform, where you can download and print puzzles, math sheets, coloring pages, and STEM content from partners to supplement learning.

For printing these materials, the HP Smart Tank 515 Wireless All-in-One printer lets you do so in high quality and without the wires, via the HP Smart app.

Reaching out to those in need. To make remote learning easier for those living in far-flung communities, HP has donated 400 Neverstop Laser printers to partner NGOs so that schools have the tools they need to print out modules. “Understanding that distance learning has its own unique impact physically and mentally, it has become even more important to stay connected and support each other even from afar and HP is here to be a reliable tech partner, bringing innovative solutions where it matters,” HP Philippines Managing Director Christian Edmond Reyes said.
