LTO Warns Against Fake CDE Certificates

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has reminded the public to avoid using fake Comprehensive Driving Exam (CDE) certificates. This is because there is no reason to patronize them as the certificates are free and accessible.

LTO Warns Against Fake CDE Certificates

It’s not a secret to the local agency that fixers are selling fake CDE certificates. These fake certificates defeat the very purpose of the exam, hence they should not be patronized according to LTO.

The agency has given all the conveniences they can offer to the public. This includes no expiration for the certificate, free access to exam materials, and free examination in any  LTO Driver’s Education Centers or through any of LTO’s accredited driving schools. In addition, they can also take the exam online via the Land Transportation Management System (LTMS).

Having said all that, motorists have no reason to rely on fixers. With CDE certificates having no expiration, they can take the exam way ahead of their renewal schedule. Moreover, review materials are available online to help them pass the exam. More importantly, taking the exam is free of charge. Just make sure to take it from authorized sources only.

However, take note that the CDE certificate is only required in LTO branches that provide a driver’s license with 10 years of validity. Again, only those without any traffic violation are eligible for the 10-year valid driver’s license.
