Nissan Launches 2022 Terra: Price And Availability In The Philippines

Nissan Motor Philippines has finally launched the 2022 Nissan Terra. This new SUV from Nissan looks more promising than ever. Nissan said they made the new model more sophisticated, versatile, and bolder to set a new benchmark in the segment.

The Nissan Terra was launched in 2018. Since then, it has been very successful in the local market. In fact, Nissan Philippines reported last year that the model accounted for 17.9% of the company’s total sales. Now, Nissan is offering us a more refined and overall better Nissan Terra. Starting at PHP 1.649M, the new Nissan Terra is available in four variants: VL 4×4, VL 4×2 AT, VE 4×2 AT, and EL 4×2 MT.

On the outside, the 2022 Terra has undergone just the right amount of makeover. It now features a more sleek design, although it looks masculine from every angle. At the front, all variants feature the famous V-Motion grille which can also be found in the Nissan GT-R and Nissan Patrol. All variants also have quad-LED headlamps with stylish DRLs that are sure to get the crowd’s attention even from afar. The Nissan Terra is the first in the segment to have such headlamps. At the rear, there are redesigned taillights with LED line guides. There’s also the addition of a shark antenna, roof rails, and a new set of two-tone 18-inch wheels across all variants.

The interior is where the new model shines. Just like on the outside, the interior screams premium. The dashboard has been redesigned to give a more modern and upscale look. The steering wheel is now D-shaped for a more sporty feel. The center console has been redesigned to integrate wireless charging and an electronic parking brake. There’s also an 11” flip-down rear monitor and a high contrast 7” Advanced Drive Assist Display that is available in all variants. Audiophiles and music lovers would love the sound system of the new model as all variants come with an 8-speaker BOSE Premium Sound System. To make the premium sound experience even better, Nissan equipped the VL models with a 9″ Advanced Touchscreen Display Audio with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

As for power, all variants of the new Terra are still using the same 2.5L diesel engine that packs 190ps and 450Nm. This engine remains to be one of the most powerful engines in the segment. Despite having the same engine as the previous model, the drive is now different as Nissan has improved the maneuverability with the Quick Steering Gear Ratio. They also added disc brakes at the back and a rear differential lock for higher-end models.

For safety, the variants of the 2022 Nissan Terra have 6 Airbags (Driver, Front Passenger, Front Sides, and Curtain Shield), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). In addition, the top-of-the-line variant comes equipped with all the Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies including the Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Emergency Braking, Intelligent Driver Alertness, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Intelligent Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, Off-road Monitor, and Intelligent Rear View Mirror.

The new Terra is available in the following colors: Nebula Metallic Red, Forged Metallic Copper, Lunar Metallic Gray, Galaxy Black, Brilliant Silver, and Aspen Pearl White (additional Php 15,000).
