Nissan Philippines Almost Ready to Launch the 2022 Patrol

Following its first-ever teaser way back in late 2019, Nissan Philippines is almost ready to launch the 2022 Nissan Patrol. The new version features an updated exterior look and upgraded technology to make it relevant when it finally comes shoulder-to-shoulder with other competitors in the luxury SUV market.

Let’s first talk about the exterior changes that the new Patrol has undergone. After all, design is really what catches our attention first. At the center of the SUV, you may notice that Nissan integrated a V-motion grille design that puts the spotlight on the Patrol’s strong and angular front. Along with this comes the new multi-piece boomerang-shaped LED headlights. The Patrol is also marked with the New Nissan badge at the front and center.

As with its updated headlights, the new taillights are also boomerang-shaped. Integrated between the taillights is the luxurious Patrol badge. We should also mention that the taillights are now sequential turn indicators, which is a first for Nissan.

As for the mechanical information of the new model, it is unfortunately still a mystery and not many details can be seen on the teaser. However, we can probably assume that it will come in a V8 engine if only for the fact that a V8 badge can be seen on the front fenders in the teaser. Using this sole information, we can expect that the new Nissan Patrol will come with a 5.6-liter V8 engine that is capable of producing 400 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque.

As for the car’s interior, it will come with a new and upgraded center console, which will obviously be compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Teaser photos also show features, such as an LCD screen sandwiched between the analog speedometer and tachometer, dual-zone climate control, heated and ventilated seats, and most likely quilted leather seats such as that of the Nissan Terra.

For safety and security, the Nissan Patrol will surely be equipped with advanced safety and security features. Aside from the Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies already made available in Nissan vehicles, the new Patrol also comes with Intelligent Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection and the Intelligent Forward Collision Warning system.

The new Nissan Patrol is expected to be out early next year and we’re totally here for it.
