While we are still not yet done with the pandemic, there are a lot of job opportunities in the Philippines in 2021. With remote working (aka working from home) as the overarching trend, most of these “jobs on the rise” involve the need to hone digital skills.

For the Philippines, LinkedIn reports that the jobs on the rise include:

• Digital content specialist
• Finance & Insurance
• Education
• Digital Marketing Specialists
• E-commerce
• Business Development and Sales
• Healthcare and Medical Support
• Customer Service Roles
• Supply Chain

If you look closely at those jobs in demand, you will realize that the pandemic has accelerated the adoption of digital platforms around the world including the Philippines.  The adoption is so fast, that a big majority of users (1 out of 3 specifically) in Southeast Asia are new to digital service, and that 94% of these new users will most likely stick to the service.

Without a doubt, e-Commerce is the digital service that experienced the biggest growth, which is why there is a big demand for people with the right skillset for Google Analytics, SEO, and social media marketing.

What is nice about the required skills for in-demand jobs? Almost all of these skills can be learned through the digital space, making them very, very accessible to anyone who desires to improve their skillset to be qualified for the job. That being said, 2021 is a great year for finding job opportunities, even in the Philippines where it is rapidly adapting to digital.
