As we are halfway done with 2020, Opensignal revealed its latest mobile experience report, and cites the Philippines as one of the most improved when it comes to video experience. In its report, Opensignal reveals that the Philippines experienced a 32% improvement in Video Experience, taking the fourth spot for most improved video experience next to Thailand.

Aside from video experience, the Philippines also improved in 4G availability by 12.6% compared to 2019. This is credited to efforts made by local telcos. For Smart, they have increased the number of their 4G/LTE to 26,000 as of mid-March, which is a 6% increase compared to end of 2019. In addition, Smart reallocated its 1800mhz frequency from 2G to 4G/LTE for improved coverage.
