After teasing the identity of their newest brand ambassador in a trailer showing a leather-jacket-clad biker speeding away into the sunset, today the telco has officially announced their newest product ambassador, Chris Evans. Smart ambassador Chris Evans is headlining the telco’s 2021 campaign “Live Smarter for A Better World.” Evans is well known for playing Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The campaign launched today with a two-minute commercial featuring Evans that closes with him saying the Smart tagline “Simple, Smart Ako!”

“We’re truly honored to collaborate with Chris on this project. He captivated the world for being a hero not just in film but also in real life by using his influence to help shape a better world for all,” Jane J. Basas, senior vice president and head of consumer wireless business at Smart said in a statement.

Smart’s “Live Smarter for a Better World” campaign aims to inspire people to commit to sustainable actions with lasting, positive impacts on society. In the TVC, Chris points out that the world is on reset and it’s the second chance we’re getting to do better. That being said Smart hopes to encourage everyone to ignite their passions to help change the world for the better.

“There’s nothing like the current challenges the world is facing to make us all realize that we are all interconnected and that our personal actions have a broader impact. Through our ‘Live Smarter for a Better World’ initiative, it is our aim to create that spark in everyone to help change the world for the better rather than just settling for ‘good’,” said Alfredo S. Panlilio, Smart Communications’ president and CEO, in a statement.

Smart Ambassador Chris Evans joins the star-studded roster of international stars featured in Smat’s campaigns. He follows the K-drama series Crash Landing On You stars Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin, as well as one of the highly-sought-out Kpop acts, BTS, all of whom can still be seen on Smart’s website.
