Different from Giga and All Data Promos, the main selling point of Smart’s latest prepaid promo is that they do not expire, meaning users can consume the data allocation without worrying about validity dates.
The new data promo is a great option for Smart prepaid subscribers who prefer a set data allocation that they can use anytime whenever they will need it. In addition, the new prepaid promo is also a good offering for Smart prepaid subscribers who prefer to use only one SIM for both their phone and data needs.
Similar to All Data, you don’t get any free data allocation for certain apps and site like the Giga promos. However, the no-expiry feature is enough to convince people to subscribe to it. Like with All Data and Giga promos, subscribers can avail of Magic Data through the Smart Giga Life app.
Smart is offering three tiers for its Magic Data promo. Php 99 gets you 2GB of no expiry data, while Php 199 increases that to 6GB. The most expensive plan, which Php 399, gives you 24GB of no expiry data—and aims to match GOMO’s Php 299 no expiry data by convincing current Smart prepaid subscribers to stick to their current SIM.
Smart’s new prepaid promo offering is the telco’s latest effort in trying to say competitive amidst the recent commercial launch of third telco DITO. While DITO will initially operate in select areas in Visayas and Mindanao, Smart’s latest efforts prove that they want to maintain their lead in terms of service.
