Razer Taps Samsung and SISTIC for Southeast Asian-Invitational 2020

As part of its preparations for the 2021 SEA eSports Tournament, Razer will be kicking things off with the Southeast Asian-Invitational 2020 from June 26 to July 12. The invitational will have 10 ASEAN countries participating, along with over 400 teams and 3000 eSports athletes. Major games for the invitational include DoTA 2, Mobile Legends, and PUBG Mobile.

To strengthen its presence in mobile eSports, Razer tapped Samsung as the official smartphone partner for the Southeast Asian-Invitational 2020. For the partnership, Samsung will be providing Galaxy A51 and A71 smartphones to SEA-Invitational 2020 shout casters and streamers.

“Our unique standing at Razer, as a lifestyle brand for gamers and a global leader in esports, has provided us the positional advantage to extend our network to both organizations and the community. We will strive to fulfill this mandate,” Razer Global eSports Director David Tse said.

For increased viewership, Razer partnered with SISTIC to stream the playoffs and championships for SEA-Invitational on its platform. “We are extremely keen to explore esports, a genre that enjoys strong online viewership and live streaming globally,” SISTIC CEO Joe Ow said. “The Razer SEA-Invitational is a great opportunity for us to showcase the quality of SISTIC Live’s platform and reach out to a wider audience.”
