Panasonic To Build The Largest EV Battery Factory

Sooner or later, internal combustion engines will be out of the picture. There’s no doubt that electric motors are the future. This is why even smartphone companies are also jumping on the EV bandwagon. Just like Apple, Xiaomi, and OPPO, realme might soon introduce electric vehicles, and even scooters, in India.

realme to Launch Electric Vehicles and Scooters in India

According to RushLane, the latest Chinese smartphone brand to enter the EV market is realme. Rushlane spotted the company filing a new trademark in India under the “vehicles, apparatus for locomotion by land, air or water.” This only means one thing, realme is diversifying into the automobile market.

Said trademark was filed by Realme Mobile Telecommunications (Shenzhen) Co Ltd. This news is actually not surprising as its parent company, OPPO, has done the same thing. What’s also not surprising is that they filed the trademark in India. India is well known to have a rapidly growing market for electric vehicles, especially scooters and motorcycles. In fact, Ola Electric scooter recently found great success in the region by building the same.

However, keep in mind that this story about realme launching electric vehicles and scooters in India is not yet official. Moreover, there are also reports that realme could be foraying into the air conditioner market now after expanding into audio, smart TV, IoT, laptops, vacuum cleaners, and much more.
