SkyMobi

A new mobile broadband provider?

Sky Cable has officially taken off the wraps off of their new mobile internet service, dubbed Skymobi. The new service gives users mobile internet via a mobile router, though subscribers of the service can also stick the SIM card provided by Sky Cable into a phone to send SMS messages and to make calls.

The service starts at Php 799 a month which nets you up to 3GB of data, with promised speeds of up to 12 mbps. If 3GB a month isn’t enough, you can opt to go to a higher plan, priced at Php 1099 for 5GB. There’s also options to add additional data in plans if users wish, with Php 30 netting you 100MB while Php 299 gets you 1GB. If you don’t opt for the additional data buckets, your account will be charged Php 1 per 1MB of data over the monthly allocation.
