In this comparison, we will be using the 128 GB variant as a reference and under a new subscription plan.

Smart

The latest iPhone models are available through Smart’s Signature Device Plans. The Plan 999, which can only be bundled with the base iPhone 14 variant, comes with 5 GB open-access data, unlimited all-net calls and texts, and 50 minutes of PLDT calls. Meanwhile, the Plan 1999 comes with 15 GB of open-access data, unlimited all-net calls and texts, and 150 minutes of PLDT calls. Both plans have the Data Rollover feature, which means all unused data allocations from the previous month will be carried over. See the plans below:

  • iPhone 14 is available under Plan 999 with Php 17,800 cashout and additional Php 1,100/month
  • iPhone 14 Plus is available under Plan 1999 with Php 17,800 cashout and additional  Php 1,100 /month
  • iPhone 14 Pro is available under Plan 1999 with Php 13,500 cashout and additional  Php 1,300/month
  • iPhone 14 Pro Max is available under Plan 1999 with Php 15,600 cashout and additional Php 1,300 /month

Globe

The latest iPhone models are available through Globe’s GPlan and GPlan Plus offers. Both plans are offering the iPhone 14 models with a one-time cashout, the main difference between them is that GPlus Plan comes only with Plan 999. That said, it is as good as buying an iPhone 14 model and getting a Plan 999 from Globe. On the other hand, GPlan offers the new iPhone models with the following bundle:

  • iPhone 14 under Plan 1799 with a cashout of Php 30,000
  • iPhone 14 Plus under Plan 1799 with a cashout of Php 36,000
  • iPhone 14 Pro under  Plan 1999 with a cashout of Php 39,600
  • iPhone 14 Pro Max under Plan 1999 with a cashout of Php 46,800

GPlan 1799 comes with 13 GB of open-access data, while GPlan 1999 comes with 15GB of open-access data. Both plans come with Unli AllNet Texts and Calls, Unli Calls to Globe Duo and Landline, 3GB GoWiFi data allocation, and data rollover. In addition to that, you get free access to KonsultaMD.

Which is the better postpaid plan?

Each plan from both networks offers almost the value. They have the same amount of open-access data, unlimited all-net texts and calls, and data rollover features. What sets them apart is that Globe offers unlimited calls to Globe Duo and Landline. Globe also has a 3GB GoWifi data allocation and free access to KonsultaMD.

However, if you do not want to shell out huge cash for the iPhone 14 models, Smart Signature Device Plans are more suitable for you. Unlike Globe, Smart offers the latest iPhone through a monthly installment, which makes payment a lot lighter.
