Team Pacquiao, the brand of senator Manny Pacquiao, announced that they will be expanding to eSports with the unveiling of Team Pacquiao GG (TPGG). Seeing the potential of the eSports industry globally, Pacquiao said that he sees it as a growing industry that can offer a lot of job and business opportunities.

“As I step away from boxing, I want to continue to give something back to our Filipino people who have given me so much support and love in my career as a boxer,” Pacquiao said. Prior to this announcement, Pacquiao has a presence in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang with the character Paquito. Aside from that, Pacquiao has his own fighting game called Fighting Pride: the Manny Pacquiao Saga.

Team Pacquiao GG partnered with London-based Veloce for its eSports activities in Southeast Asia, and will focus on games like Wild Rift, Valorant, Call of Duty, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.

“We approached Manny Pacquiao and his team, with the proposition of joining forces and creating something that has never been done before within Southeast Asia and the Philippines,” Veloce eSports Chief Development Officer Ryan Tveter said.

Team Pacquiao GG will be led by top Filipino content creators like SH1NBOO, SUPERKIMBIE, GHOST WRECKER, Een Mercado, and Globo
