Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2: 5-inch Octa-Core LTE Smartphone for Php6,190

Alcatel OneFlash 2

Alcatel’s Follow-up to the OneTouch Flash

After testing the world for more than a month, Alcatel has finally taken the wraps off their newest product, the Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2. It’s a very competitive offering given the specifications and the Php6,190 price tag.

The internals also aren’t the only features that will get the attention of potential customers. At the back they have a 13.0-megapixel auto-focus camera with dual-tone, dual-LED flash (which they’re calling gSight). It has a Samsung ISOCELL S5K3M2 sensor with f2.0 aperture and 80 degree wide angle lens.

Up front is the secondary camera which they’re calling the “Profie”. It’s 5.0-megapixels, f2.2 aperture, and LED flash. Definitely something that would appeal to all the Selfie addicts out there.

The 3,000mAh battery is also very promising considering the display is smaller and the processor doesn’t need to push up too many pixels. We’re thinking this can probably last you more than just one day given moderate usage.

Whatever angle you look at it, the Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 has a lot of potential. The internals, camera capabilities, and the battery life makes it a strong candidate for people with a budget of Php6,000 for their new smartphone. Perhaps our only worry is how long it will get the Android 6 Marshmallow update as MediaTek doesn’t really have a good track record for software upgrades.

The Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 will be available starting September 30 via Lazada.

Watch out for our hands-on and initial impressions later tonight! 🙂
