Suppose you were waiting for Apple to out a sequel to the AirPods Max, well, too bad. In that case, the Cupertino firm is simply outing a slightly updated version of their over-ear cans, introducing additional colors and a few new features that didn’t necessitate a new model. New color options for the headphones include black, blue, purple and orange. The updated model will still have the same price of $549 and will be available on September 20th.

You’re still getting Personal Spatial Audio, and Apple is promising that the AirPods Max (along with the new AirPods Pro 2) can be used as hearing protection in loud places like concerts and whatnot. Apple is including a clinically validated hearing test on their new iPhones as well as iOS 18 to help you protect your hearing.
