It has several new features and a hefty price tag
After much speculation, Apple debuts the AirPods Pro. While it has the same Apple H1 chip and wireless charging case like the second-generation AirPods, the AirPods Pro’s key new feature is its new design—this time with silicone ear tips— and active noise cancellation (ANC). For the former, Apple incorporated an Ear Tip Fit Test to help users determine the right set of tips for the best sound quality. Speaking of sound quality, the AirPods Pro’s Adaptive EQ makes adjustments to the lows and mids for optimal sound quality and comes with a built-in amplifier to balance out sound quality and battery life.
With all these new tech, Apple is asking a steep Php 14,990 asking price for the AirPods Pro—making them more expensive than Sony’s WF-1000XM3 wireless earbuds. They go on sale starting October 30 in the US.
