ASUS Officially Announces ZenFone 4 Pro

All set to be competitive in the flagship department.

Along with announcing several ZenFones for this year, ASUS decided to replace the “Deluxe” moniker used to refer to their top-tier smartphones to a more formal “Pro” branding with the ZenFone 4 Pro. Just like flagships in its tier, the ZenFone 4 Pro brings in all the best possible tech within that slim, aluminum unibody design.

Among the things worth noting with the ZenFone 4 Pro is its use of an AMOLED Display, which is a shift from using IPS displays in previous ZenFone iterations (along with some models in the ZenFone 4 family). Just like the flagship models it will be competing against, the ZenFone 4 Pro will also use a Snapdragon 835 processor, having the same 6GB LPDDR4 RAM used in the ZenFone 3 Deluxe last year. To keep the phone running, the ZenFone 4 Pro comes with a 3600mAh battery, and runs Android Nougat (7.1) out of the box.

Also worth noting with the ZenFone 4 Pro are its cameras, all using Sony’s IMX sensors. The main rear camera is a 12-megapixel, f/1.7 snapper with 4-stop OIS and ASUS’ Superpixel engine, while the secondary camera is a 16-megapixel, f/2.4 snapper with 2x zoom.

Meanwhile, the front camera is an 8-megapixel, f/1.9 one with EIS (for videos) and ASUS’ SuperPixel engine.
