Bought ASUS’ Zenfone 3 Laser and are wondering if it’ll ever get Android Nougat? Well, good news – the Taiwanese company has announced that they’ve released the Nougat update to the Zenfone 3 Laser (ZC551KL).

ASUS Zenfone 3 Laser specs

  • 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor
  • Adreno 505 GPU
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 5.5-inch full HD IPS display, 2.5D glass, 1920 x 1080 resolution
  • 32GB of expandable storage
  • 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX214 sensor, EIS, 2nd generation laser AF, LED flash
  • 8-megapixel front camera
  • Dual SIM
  • 3G, LTE
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, Fingerprint scanner
  • Android 6.0, ZenUI 3.0
  • 3000mAh battery

Just like the Nougat update for the Zenfone 3 , the update for the Zenfone 3 Laser brings over a bunch of new features and will probably de-bloat ZenUI by removing several apps that came with the phone that are duplicates to the ones offered by Google.

The update is a bit weighty, coming in at slightly over a gig in size, so it’ll be better if you keep your phone connected to a WiFi connection before attempting to download.
