Blackberry Motion Now Official: IP67 Rating, 4000mAh Battery

It also introduces a new Blackberry feature

After being leaked by Evan Blass a few days ago, Blackberry has made the Motion official during GITEX Technology Week in Dubai. As confirmed, the Motion does not sport a keyboard. Instead, it is an “all touch” Blackberry sporting an IP67 rating and the biggest battery in a Blackberry device at 4000mAh.

New to the Motion is Locker Mode: A feature that lets users store documents and images in the phone’s internal memory requiring either a PIN or a fingerprint scan. With Locker mode, files are securely stored on the phone and not in the cloud.

Initial availability will be limited to Dubai and Saudi Arabia, with a wider distribution later this month. The Blackberry Motion will retail for Dh1,699 (~Php 23.7K).

In addition to the launch of the Motion, Blackberry confirmed in a tweet that the KeyOne will be receiving Android Oreo.
