Cherry Mobile Fights Back: Flare S8, S8 Pro Has Irresistable Hardware And Price Tags

Cherry Mobile finally has a great lineup

If you’ve made the mistake of counting out local brand Cherry Mobile from the smartphone wars this year, you’ve made a huge mistake. The brand has officially taken the wraps off of the two new members of the Flare lineup, and man, these two new phones are really hard to ignore.

Flare S8

The Flare S8 has large, 6.2-inch HD+ display, while the Flare S8 Pro has a slightly larger 6.5-inch HD+ display. Both models have a small, teardrop notch at the top of the phone that houses their selfie cameras, with the Flare S8 getting a 13-megapixel front camera while the Flare S8 Pro getting a 20-megapixel shooter.

Both phones use dual rear camera setups, with the Flare S8 using a 13-megapixel/2-megapixel combo while the Flare S8 Pro utilizes a 20-megapixel/5-megapixel module.

AS for processors go, the Flare S8 gets an Helio P23 chipset, while the S8 Pro gets an Helio P22 chipset. Both phones have great storage and RAM options, with the Flare S8 having 3GB/32GB of expandable storage inside of it, while the Flare S8 Pro gets even more, at 4GB/64GB.

The Flare S8 gets a 2800mAh battery, while the Flare S8 Pro gets a spacious 4000mAh battery. The Flare S8 still uses a micro-USB port, though the Flare S8 Pro gets a USB Type-C charger with quick charging capability.

Both phones have really impressive price tags – the Flare S8 will retail at just Php 3,999, making it one of the most affordable smartphones that rock the processor. The S8 Pro is priced at Php 5,999 as well, undercutting quite a lot of other smartphones that have more expensive price tags.
