Cloudfone finally launches their new dual-boot tablets

Local brand Cloudfone silently announced two of their dual-boot tablets in their official website a month ago, but the company has only now gotten around to actually, officially launching it. If you need a refresher, the Epic 8.9 and Epic 7.1 are dual-boot tablets, which simply means that users can choose to go with either Android 4.4 KitKat or Windows 8.1 when they turn on their tablet.

Having dual-boot capabilities at your fingertips is a good thing, especially for students and workers who have legacy apps and programs that don’t have Android equivalents. Unfortunately as one user pointed out, having two OS in one device may be a an issue because they eat up a lot of space on the 32GB of storage on both devices (Windows 8, for example, is a massive 11GB install on its own).

Nonetheless, Cloudfone’s new Epic devices are a great choice for people who want to get the best of both worlds – productivity with Microsoft’s Windows and Office and the flexibility of Android and its endless number of apps – CoC anyone?

The Cloudfone Epic 8.9 retails for Php 8,999 while the Epic 7.1 goes for Php 4,999.
