DJI’s Mavic Air 2 Can Shoot 48-Megapixel Photos and Fly for up to 34 Minutes

And it has longer flight time

DJI updates the Mavic Air with a second-generation model. Dubbed the Mavic Air 2, it maintains the compact design of its predecessor but uses a Sony IMX586 camera, giving it the ability to shoot 48-megapixel photos and 4K videos at up to 60FPS (at up to 120mbps). In addition, the new sensor lets the Mavic Air 2 shoot 8K hyperlapse videos.

Its flight abilities get upgraded too, as the Mavic Air 2’s larger 3500mAh battery gives it up to 34 minutes of flight time–the longest for any DJI consumer drone. Peak speeds remain the same at 68.4km/h, but the Mavic Air 2 can be controlled remotely at up to 10km from your location. The Mavic Air 2 comes with front and rear obstacle sensors, bottom auxiliary lights, and AirSense–the latter using ADS-B tech to warn of any incoming aircraft.

The Mavic Air 2 also gets a new controller, where it swaps the built-in-display for a phone holder.

The Mavic Air 2 is priced at $799 (~Php40.7k) for the standard package and $988(~Php 50.1k) for the FlyMore combo.

UPDATE: The local pricing for the Mavic Air 2 is Php 39,990 for the standard package and Php 52,990 for the FlyMore combo.
