Lenovo P700 gets an upgrade with the P700i

Lenovo Mobile Philippines announced through their Facebook Page yesterday the availability and launch of the Lenovo P700i. This new handset is an upgrade to the highly successful P700. The main difference between the two units is that the P700i now runs on a dual-core processor and has a slightly different form factor. The good news is that the P700i has the same price tag: Php10,999!

According to Jayvee Fernandez (who was able to get some hands-on time with the P700i), there’s a noticeable difference in the speed of the P700i compared to the P700 due to the upgraded processor. This is welcome news since that was mainly the only criticism we could throw at the P700. There were times that it would slow down especially when there were several widgets running as well as a live wallpaper.

If you’re thinking of getting a P700 though might as well go directly for the P700i. Same price, higher specs. Make sense to me!
