Stylish phones from Obi!

It’s a sad fact of life that a cheaper a phone gets, the less stylish it is. John Sculley, former Apple CEO and co-founder of Obi Worldphone and Rober Brunner, Ammunition design founder knows this well, and are trying to change that perception by creating affordable smartphones that are more stylish than the offerings of their competitors. The company is releasing two very stylish Android devices to start: the SF1 and the SJ1.5, and from the looks of things, Obi is off to a great start.

The SF1 comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 16GB storage/2GB RAM and 32GB storage/3GB RAM variants, as well as a 5-inch, full HD JDI IPS display and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, as well as dual-sim capability. The SJ1.5 is a little more sedate in its specs – 5-inch IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, MediaTek MT6580 processor and 16GB storage/1GB RAM combination.

Both phones also come with the company’s new UI overlay for Android dubbed Obi Lifespeed. The 16GB storage/2GB RAM version of the SF1 is priced at $199 or around 9.2K, while the higher 32GB storage/3GB RAM version is priced at 11.6K. The SJ1.5 is priced at $129, or Around Php 6K.
