GMA Kicks off 70th Anniversary with Affordabox Digital TV Box

As part of celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, GMA wants to make digital TV accessible to everyone with the Affordabox. The compact device can be plugged into any TV—from old-school CRTs to modern LEDs—and receive digital broadcasts from GMA, GMA News TV, and Heart of Asia, along with other free-to-air digital TV channels.

GMA Network has teamed up with the best product developers and engineers to give you a device built with additional features and high-quality materials at an accessible price. Now, more Filipino homes can start enjoying digital TV viewing,” GMA Network President and COO Gilberto Duavit, Jr. said.

Other features of the Affordabox include a multimedia player, the ability to record shows through its USB port through instant or scheduled recording, and Emergency Warning Broadcast System (EWBS) for alerts from NDRMMC.

The Affordabox is priced at a one-time fee of Php 888 and is available both online and in stores in the following areas: Metro Manila, Benguet, La Union, Pangasinan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon, Rizal, Bohol, Cebu, Leyte, Davao de Oro, Davao del Sur, and Davao del Norte.
