Huawei’s dual-camera smartphone will be arriving in the next few weeks

Remember Huawei’s Honor 6 Plus, that innovative, dual-camera toting smartphone we first saw in Beijing last December? Well, if you’ve been pining for it the dual-camera wonder, your wait is almost over – we’ve confirmed with a source that the new phone will be released pretty soon, probably in the next weeks. More importantly, we found out that it’ll come with a price tag of just Php 17490, which puts it squarely in mid-range Android territory.

Huawei Honor 6 Plus

That’s a pretty aggressive price for a phone that’s essentially a smaller Mate7. It has the rougly the same hardware as the bigger, 6-inch phablet and if our experience with the Mate7 is anything to go by, then the Honor 6 Plus will offer stiff competition to the already crowded sub-20K smartphone market.

If you’re interested in seeing what sets the Honor 6 Plus apart from all the other Android phones out there, you can read our hands-on on the device here, as well as watch our demonstration of the dual-camera setup we’ve embedded above.
