Honor Launches 48-Megapixel Camera-sporting Honor Play 3 and Honor 20S

Affordable 48-megapixel phones for everyone

Honor added two new models to its mid-range portfolio with the Honor Play 3 and Honor 20S

The Honor Play 3 is not related to last year’s Honor Play. Instead, it is a budget phone that comes with a 48-megapixel f/1.8 main rear camera and a 4000mAh battery. While it is a budget phone, the Honor Play 3 sports a triple rear camera and a punch-hole display—though you are only getting an HD+ resolution on its 6.39-inch display. While it does not have a fingerprint scanner and sports an antiquated microUSB port, the Honor Play 3 comes with an IP5x rating.

On the other hand, the Honor 20S is the lightweight version of the previously announced Honor 20. You get the same side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 32-megapixel front camera, and 6.26-inch Full HD+ punch-hole display, but you have a Kirin 810 processor instead of a Kirin 980 processor.

The Honor 20S sticks to a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 48-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and 2-megapixel macro camera.
