HP is back in the mobile game
HP’s last attempt at releasing a mobile phone was back in 2014, and even then their offering wasn’t exactly received with open arms by the consumer market. They’re trying again this year, but this time they’re ditching Android and instead going with their old buddy Microsoft and their newest OS, Windows 10.

The Elite x3 has specs that you’d expect from a global flagship: Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 64GB of internal sotrage and a big and generous 5.96-inch Quad HD display. The phone is being offered along with a lapdock – a laptop-looking extender made for the device that allows users to use the phone on a bigger screen, effectively turning it into a notebook.
The extender is simply a keyboard, 12.5-inch display, battery and has a port for USB Type-C, so it’s kind of weird to think that mobile users would go for this setup rather than an actual notebook.
