The HTC Wildfire S is an affordable Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone which will be locally available starting this weekend. It doesn’t have the raw power of the iPhone 4 or the LG Optimus 2X but it’s still a decent unit considering the price. It has a 600 MHz processor, 320×480 resolution capacitive touchscreen, 512 RAM, micro SD slot up to 32GB, and a 5MP camera with LED flash.
The HTC Wildfire S retail price is Php14,990 according to Technoodling.net. It comes in gray, white, and light pink.
Here’s a short promotional video about the phone for your enjoyment:

If you have a little more budget you might want to consider the LG Optimus Black which is being sold for a little less than Php20,000. It has a better processor, screen resolution, 720p video recording, but it’s still running Android 2.2 Froyo (upgradable though to 2.3).
