Huawei Brings the Y6p, Y5p, and MatePad T to the Philippines

Huawei’s new budget phones arrive in the Philippines

Huawei solidifies its budget offerings in the Philippines with the Y6p and Y5p. The Y6p is the brand’s most affordable phone to have a triple rear camera setup. The rear snappers comprise of a 13-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. Upfront, you get a 6.3-inch HD+ display with a dewdrop notch for the 8-megapixel selfie snapper. Powering the Y6p is an Helio P22 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, along with a generous 5000mAh battery with 10w wired charging and Android 10 out of the box.

On the other hand, the Y5p is the brand’s most affordable phone in its current lineup. For a sub-Php 5k price, you get a compact 5.45-inch display, 32GB internal storage, 8-megapixel rear camera, and Android 10 out of the box.

Aside from two entry-level phones, Huawei Philippines is also bringing the entry-level MatePad T, which has an 8-inch display and is powered by a MediaTek MT8168 processor paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. It comes with a 5100mAh battery, 5-megapixel rear camera, and 2-megapixel front camera.

The Y6p is priced at Php 5,990 while the Y5p is priced at Php 4,490. Those pre-ordering the Y6p starting tomorrow until May 31 will get 15GB Huawei Cloud storage, Viu streaming access, and a Bluetooth headset. The MatePad T is priced at Php 5,990.
