Remember the MatePad SE from 2023? Huawei announced a 2024 version with the MatePad SE 11, which retains the key features of its predecessor as an affordable tablet.
As the name implies, the MatePad SE 11 has a bigger 11-inch LCD with a 1920×1200 resolution, 100% sRGB coverage, and a special eBook mode. It is roughly the same size as the original MatePad SE, so the bezels are slimmer to accommodate the bigger display.
The MatePad SE 11 gets an updated design–while still retaining the aluminum body. The rear camera is now upgraded to 8-megapixels, while the selfie camera is now 5-megapixels. You also get a bigger 7700mAh battery inside that supports Huawei’s 22.5w wired charging. It comes with HarmonyOS 2.0 out of the box, where you get features like multi-window, multi-screen collaboration, seamless data transfer, and screen sharing.
Huawei did not disclose the processor powering the MatePad SE 11, but it is speculated to use either a Snapdragon 680 or a Kirin 710A depending on the region. RAM and storage can be configured at up to 8GB and up to 128GB respectively, with the latter being expandable via MicroSD. Other features include a quad-speaker system and support for M-Pen Lite.
Huawei has yet to reveal the official pricing and availability of the MatePad 11 SE.
