Too good to be true?
Huawei recently released their newest flagship phablet, the Mate 8, sporting the company’s homegrown Kirin 950 octa-core processor. Much has been said about this new processor, and like all new chips we were curious about the performance of their new silicon.

Apparently, the Kirin 950 is a beast of a processor – a screenshot from AnTuTu shows the Mate 8 scoring an unbelievable 94250 points in AnTuTu, which is far higher than any flagship smartphone in existence. That’s even higher than Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 810 processor on an especially good day.
We’re curious to verify the AnTuTu score of the Mate 8 ourselves and if the benchmarks prove to be true, then Huawei has a real beast on their hands.
