Huawei’s P10 Lite Gets Official

Huawei’s P10 Lite Gets Official

A few days ago we gave you a sneak peek at the official SRP of Huawei’s upcoming P10 and P10 Plus flagships. Many people didn’t like the fact that the new phones have higher price tags than the previous generation devices, but as with every major release, Huawei has also readied a “lite” version of their flagship that’s priced quite a bit lower.

Huawei P10 Lite specs

  • Kirin 655 octa-core processor
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 5.2-inch full HD IPS display, 1920 x 1080 resolution
  • 32GB of expandable storage
  • 12-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash
  • 8-megapixel front camera
  • Dual SIM
  • 3G, LTE
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, fingerprint scanner
  • 3000mAh battery
  • Android 7.0 Nougat

The P10 Lite which leaked earlier during MWC, still has the same design language of its bigger brother, but loses the dual-camera Leica camera tech found on more expensive flagship. The processor gets a downgrade as well, though the display stays the same size compared to the P10, and the full HD resolution panel is still there.

Huawei will be hard pressed to differentiate the P10 Lite against the GR5 2017 though, as both phones roughly have the same specs, with the GR5 2017 having the dual camera advantage. The P10 Lite does have Android Nougat compared to the GR5 2017’s Marshmallow OS, though the latter is scheduled to receive the update in the next few weeks.

The P10 Lite has already been launched in Malaysia, bearing a price tag of roughly 14.6K.
