IFA 2017: LG Has Finally Given Up On Gimmicks For The V30

No more gimmicks, just solid features

It looks like LG has finally seen the light and has given up on trying to sell gimmicky features to the public with their flagship phones. Instead, the Korean firm has finally realized that offering a compelling and useful feature set will sell more phones than secondary screens and modular accessories will ever will.

Their new phablet, the V30, was built with that in mind. The new device still has their FullVision technology that stretches the display’s aspect ratio to 18:9, but this time around the physical size of the display has been increased to 6-inches, resulting in an overall resolution of 2880 x 1440.

All the other flagship trimmings that was present on the LG G6 is here, including water resistance, dual rear cameras (standard 16-megapixel, f/1.6 camera and a wide angle 13-megapixel, f/1.9 secondary camera), Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of LPDDR4RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.0 expandable storage, with a higher version V30+ coming out with 128GB of storage.

LG V30 Specs:

The V30 is expected to arrive on in Korea on Sept 21, with other markets following soon after. No pricing has been announced yet.
