Being positioned as a budget gaming phone, the Hot 10S’ main feature is its Helio G85 processor, which is one of MediaTek’s proven 4G processors that is capable of gaming. For the display, you get a large 6.82-inch IPS display with an HD+ resolution, 90hz refresh rate, and 180hz touch response rate. Despite the HD+ resolution, it is hard to find a budget phone that has a high refresh rate. For the battery, the vanilla Hot 10S gets a beefy 6000mAh battery, while the one with NFC scales it down to 5000mAh. Both versions top up with 10w MicroUSB charging.
For the cameras, the Hot 10S gets a triple rear camera setup: 48-megapixel main camera, 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an AI camera. The cameras can shoot Full HD video, 240FPS slo-mo video, and come with Super Nightscape for better low-light photography. For selfies, you get an 8-megapixel snapper housed in a dewdrop notch.
Other features of the Hot 10S include a headphone jack, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, up to 6GB RAM, and up to 128GB internal storage–the latter being expandable via MicroSD.
