Intel Announces 10nm-Based, 10th-Generation Core Processors

Finally breaking the 14nm barrier

Months after unveiling its 9th-generation Core processors for both desktop and mobile, Intel launched its 10th-generation Ice Lake Core processors. Initially comprising of 11 variants (for the low-power U and Y series), the new processors now use a 10nm process–a first for Intel.

Key features include a quad-core (8 thread) structure, Intel Iris Plus graphics, up to 32 GB of LP4/x-3733 or up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, and support for Optane memory SSDs/Memory, PCIe 3.0, SATA, SD 3.0 and eMMC 5.1 storage.

All Ice Lake processors come with a display port, USB-C, USB 3.1 (10 Gbps/5Gbps) and USB 2.0.

Intel U-Series processors

Intel Y-Series processors

All U-series and Y-series Ice Lake processors are made for ultraslim laptops and 2-in-1 computers and are expected to be commercially available by November or December this year.
