iPad Mini at Plan 999 with just Php1,500 Cash Out!
We just received an e-mail from Smart announcing that they have a brand new postpaid plan for the iPad Mini (16GB with Data)! You can actually get the base 16GB model with data under their iPad Mini Smart Bro Plan 999. There’s a minimum cash out of just Php1,500 once you sign-up for the plan and get the iPad Mini. That’s actually not a bad deal if you think about it!
What does my 999/mo. get me?
Under this plan you get 50 hours of data with Anti-Billshock (once you exceed 999 in additional data charges it will stay at 999 and you get unlimited data). That’s 399 of the 999 you’re paying monthly. The other 600 is for the iPad Mini. Note that the data is 3G (not LTE) but you can actually subscribe and purchase the LTE bundles but that will be billed on top of your monthly service plan.
Total cost of ownership of the iPad Mini under this plan is Php15,900 over the 24-month lock-in period so it’s a pretty fair deal considering payment is amortized over 24 months.
This plan is perfect for people who have WiFi access at home and at the office which means they’ll only use the data once they’re in transit or if they’re out and about. That 50 hours should be more than enough and you have options of going LTE (billed on top) should you want faster speeds, kinda like a turbo button. 🙂
